
Tecciztecatl
(1) Wealthy moon god, lunar deity
Could have been Sun god. According to Aztec mythology, Tecciztecatl feared the Sun's fire so much he could not throw himself in it. The god Nanahuatzin was much poorer however much more brave than Tecciztecatl and threw himself in the fire. He then became the sun god, while Tecciztecatl was throw to the moon.
